روحی بانو کی بہن یاسمین کا کہنا ہے کہ روحی بانو کو 3 دسمبر کو استنبول کے اسپتال میں داخل کیا گیا تھا۔
روحی بانو 10 اگست 1951 کو کراچی میں پیدا ہوئیں تھی۔ وہ نامور طبلہ نواز اللہ رکھا خان کی بیٹی تھیں۔ روحی بانو نے کرن کہانی، زرد گلاب، دروازہ اور دیگر بے شمار سپر ہٹ ڈراموں میں یادگار کردار ادا کیے ہیں۔
سنہ 1981 میں انہیں حکومت پاکستان نے صدارتی تمغہ برائے حسن کارکردگی عطا کیا۔ اس کے علاوہ بھی وہ متعدد ایوارڈز حاصل کرچکی ہیں۔
سنہ 2005 میں ان کے 20 سالہ اکلوتے بیٹے کو گولی مار کر قتل کردیا تھا جس کے بعد وہ اپنا ذہنی توازن کھو بیٹھیں۔
کچھ عرصہ قبل روحی بانو کے لاپتہ ہونے کی اطلاعات موصول ہوئی تھیں تاہم بعد ازاں معلوم ہوا کہ وہ اپنے بھائی کے گھر پر صحیح سلامت موجود ہیں۔
